At the main venue of the inaugural Netflix Is A Joke Comedy Festival we produced 4 separate All Star shows — comedy/variety specials — at the historic Hollywood Palladium. Shot on consecutive nights, they were hosted by Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin, Bill Burr, Amy Schumer and Snoop Dogg and included top comics, music performances and behind the scenes conversations.  

The challenge of being in the same venue on consecutive nights was to give each show its own look and feel, while still having each one feel a part of the overall Festival. That in addition to the logistical challenge of changing the set in a short amount of time and rehearsing the next day’s show. 

We succeeded in collaborating with Netflix and the individual headliners/hosts to give each special a unique feel — ranging from a modern take on a classic variety show set for Jane & Lily, to a rock club for Bill Burr and a lounge vibe for Snoop to a modern design for Amy.
